Professional baseball in Salem, VA
John Lamb is scheduled to start on Thursday of this week on six days of rest instead of the typical five-day rotation. Lamb picked up an extra day of rest due to the off day for the Wilmington Blue Rocks, on Monday, as the team traveled from Winston-Salem, NC to Salem, VA.
Lamb will match last year’s efforts with his next start against the Boston Red Sox High A team. Lamb only had 14 starts during his rookie season of professional baseball.
The family is eager, confident and excited for this next start. It will be nice to see how he rebounds from his last appearance on the 11th against one of the toughest offensive teams in minor league baseball. We continue to be extremely proud of his progress during these early stages of his professional baseball career and look forward to each time he takes the ball on the mound.
GO BLUE ROCKS!
