Happy Birthday son…keep having fun!
Our West coast household got the chance to wish my son, John Lamb, a “Happy Birthday” earlier this morning. His days of being a teenager in professional baseball are now behind him as he continues to pursue his dreams of playing in the “Show.”
We spent a few minutes discussing his baseball and last night’s game against the Lynchburg Hillcats, but mostly just personal stuff, not willing to mention. In the mean time he continues to put up stellar numbers for his second year in the minor league baseball system for the Kansas City Royals organization. Of course, I reminded him how very proud we are of the direction his baseball career is currently taking and that he continues to sit near the top of many statistical categories.
Todays game, to start the Wilmington Blue Rocks home stand, against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans was postponed due to rain.
Knowing my son, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was at the theatre checking out a movie with his girl-friend and/or friends after the game was cancelled.
Good luck Blue Rocks with the home stand and continuing the good start to the second half of the Carolina League season.
