Lamb set for his 19th start in Wilmington…
Wilmington, DE – Tonight’s game to open the Wilmington Blue Rocks series against the Frederick Keys was postponed due to bad weather. The game will be made up tomorrow during a double-header with the first game set for 5:05 ET at Frawley Stadium.
John Lamb is set to start the second game, based on the Blue Rocks web site information. This start will mark the 19th of the season and get him over the 100 innings plateau for the first time in his young professional baseball career. Lamb continues to pound the strike zone and give his Blue Rocks team a chance to win with every start. He has won half of his Carolina League starts since arriving from Burlington,IA and continues to sit on the leader board for his low earned run average throughout all minor league baseball levels.
As usual, I have a tendency to get a little more anxious than normal the night before his starts and struggle with getting sleep. I’m sure glad that he didn’t get that gene.
GO BLUE ROCKS!
