Blue Rocks split the twin bill in Kinston, NC
Kinston, NC – Wilmington Blue Rocks managed to split tonight’s double-header with the Kinston Indians. The Blue Rocks lost the first game that was a continued effort from last night’s suspended game due to foul weather. However, two Wilmington pitchers combined for another shut-out victory in the last seven inning game of the evening of professional baseball at the minor league level.
Jairo Cuevas (3-4, 5.72) took the loss for the first game and Bryan Paukovits (3-2, 3.73) got the win in the second contest against the Cleveland Indians, Advanced Class A team. Christian Colon and Ernesto Mejia were the only Blue Rocks hitters with multiple knocks during the second Carolina League game
Last game of the series and road trip is scheduled for tomorrow at 2:00 ET at the historical Grainger Stadium in Kinston, NC.
