John Lamb marked “youngest” Naturals player…ever

July 29, 2010

Springdale, AR – The recent promotion of John Lamb to Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, has given him another bit of trivia to add-on his bio. Apparently, this move will give Lamb the label of being the youngest player to ever play on the Class AA team, per a press release comment by Frank Novak of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on 07/28/2010 at 1:30 PM ET.

John’s opportunity to join the Naturals staff is another tremendous accomplishment for the young “southpaw,” at this stage of his professional baseball career. We are still floating from the adrenalin charged phone call following his last start on Monday evening from Wilmington, DE.

Calls, texts and emails continue to find their way to the Lamb family with congratulations for John taking another step up the ladder. As of now, we are assuming he will start in Springfield, MO against the Cardinals on Saturday, based on some other press releases from the Kansas City Royals farm. We are patiently waiting for his next call confirming his next start but he is now in route to his new team to pick up a new hat.

I can only hope to see a slight smile in the new head shot of John Lamb on the Naturals site and bio.

GO NATURALS!
