Texas League debut confirmed for Saturday
Springfield, MO – A phone call to the wife, Colleen, confirmed that John Lamb will have his Texas League debut with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals in Springfield tomorrow night against the Cardinals. Paige, John’s girl-friend was the informant and her information was later confirmed during the pre-game of tonight’s game through the radio broadcast on ESPN 92.1, The Ticket.
I’m sure that John is just as excited as we are for the new challenge in his second season of professional baseball with the Kansas City Royals organization. Below is the hierarchy list of the Royals minor league affiliations, which represents the ladder to the big leagues.
Omaha Royals – Class AAA in Omaha, NE (Pacific Coast League)
Northwest Arkansas Naturals – Class AA in Springdale, AR (Texas League)
Wilmington Blue Rocks – Advanced Class A in Wilmington, DE (Carolina League)
Idaho Falls Chukars – Advanced Rookie in Idaho Falls, ID (Pioneer League)
Burlington Royals – Rookie in Burlington, NC (Appalachian League)
AZL Royals – Surprise, AZ
As you can see, John has done a phenomenal job climbing up the ladder, thanks to the moves by the Kansas City Royals management and his continued success along each level of his challenges. He has some familiar faces in the crowd tomorrow during his debut and of course we wish him well from the left coast.
GO NATURALS!
