This Super day brings
Orange County, CA – On the heels of the Green Bay Packers defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV the hours are continuing to dwindle away toward the start of the professional baseball season. Some are disappointed with the events on this special Sunday of football, but our family embraces this Super day for bringing us closer to Spring training for John Lamb and his fellow Kansas City Royals teammates.
Hundreds of pitchers and catchers are in route to their affiliated training complex to embark on the start for another year of baseball. John and many others in the Royals organization have an early day tomorrow to kick off the genesis of their Spring training. This year is a very special opportunity for my son to learn from the experiences of “big league” camp, as a non-roster invite.

While some texts, tweets. emails and phone calls continue to reference the growing media coverage of my son’s previous season he should be tossing and turning with excitement. I know for a fact John Lamb is simply eager to get back on the field and work. Some of our recent conversations discussing his surge of media coverage revealed that casual demeanor which many have seen at the ballpark when he pitches. I’m sure he cares but he also realizes that those lists are based on many opinions and he knows that everyone around this great game has plenty, including his Dad.
The Super Bowl brings us one day closer to the most wonderful time of the year…baseball!
